Ten Words or Less

Because it’s been a while since I did any reviewing, I’m gonna try a new format. Here’s some games I’ve been playing, or some games coming up soon that I’ve got my eye on…

Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure (DS) – Combination of Wario Land and Tetris Attack, with hilarious voices.

Pokemon Platinum (DS) – Brings back memories of Pokemon Blue… now with shinier graphics.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (DS) – Surprisingly good graphics for the system, with great gameplay elements.

Peggle: Dual Shot (DS) – Addictive, addictive, and… addictive? Might make me fail my course.

Rhythm Heaven (DS) – It’s WarioWare, but with rhythm games… fustrating, but entertaining.

Rittai Picross (DS) – It’s Picross… but in 3D. The very definition of ‘addictive’.

Jak 3 (PS2) – Makes up for terrible gameplay in Jak II, classic platforming.

Yoda Stories (PC) - An old classic, great for short breaks between work.

Broken Sword: Director’s Cut (Wii) – A great adventure game, now with added waggling!

Ultimate Band (Wii) – Looks truly terrible, but at least they made an effort.

House of the Dead: Overkill (Wii) – No wonder it won the record for swearing… hilariously fun.

In other news, I have a job interview with Eutechnyx tomorrow. I’m really hoping I get the placement, because this is the only one I’m really pushing for… here’s hoping that everything goes okay!

Stupid Addictiveness.

So my original PlayStation 2 conked out on me, and I had to buy another. I’m not complaining, because I got my original one for free, and it’s been on it’s last legs for what must be 4 years now. And it’s not like I really play it much either… but I do have a big backlog of games to play on it at some point (Jak 3, Ratchet & Clank, and many other platform games), therefore it’s nice to have one lying around for that purpose. Managed to get a used phat for £30 from Game, which ain’t too bad seeing as it has a year warranty with it (although the date already wore off the receipt in my back pocket, so that’s useful). Thanks, Morti. Thorti.

On another game note, OH GOD PEGGLE DUAL SHOT. If the original Peggle for the PC is crack, then the version on the Nintendo DS is an on-demand drug dealer. All the levels from both of the games are on here, as well as new levels, new challenges, and more… and I thought World of Warcraft was addicting. I lost an entire weekend to it, and I still can’t seem to put it down. And when it’s over, I’ll start all over again.

Other stuff I’m currently playing… nearly at 100% completion with Grand Theft Auto IV, and I’m supposed to be finishing the third Phoenix Wright, although I’ve been saying that for the past 6 months. Good times.
