Double Celebration, With Added Fail.

Less than a week… looks like Allan was right. I guess I’ll just be changing my resolution to a more general ‘write more blogs’, then.

So the first thing to be happy about is that I got my Games Software Development 1 coursework handed in on time, and I think I did pretty well with it. It certainly looked a lot better than some other people’s, although it’s still not at the level I wanted it to be… but I guess everyone’s feeling like that at the moment. I think I’ll work on my visualisation class a bit more, then I can use that as a code sample to send to Rare for the placement application ^^ I’ll put the game up on here when I’m done with that as well.

Secondly, I hit level 80 with Jaide and like I predicted, it was in a 73-75 zone… way too easy. Tone it up a bit, Blizzard. Oh well, I’m not complaining about the chance to do heroics. I do feel bad, however, because I’ve bought my housemate a WoW account for Christmas… poor sod. It’ll be the death of him. And my fault.

Might of Dragonblight

Yes, I’m using the quest achievement puns as blog titles… I’m too tired to think of jokes, and it gets me some cheap hits. If you came here expecting information about the achievement, don’t forget to check underwater near Moa’ki Harbor, and there’s also a goblin lying in the middle of nowhere at 48.5, 24.1 who gives a quest or two. Have fun.

Jaide’s current level is 79, and I’ve fully cleared the first three zones… does that seem a little imbalanced to you? Because at this rate, I’ll be hitting level 80 in a 73-75 zone. I guess it’s because I’ve been doing lots of extra things along with the quests… with Burning Crusade I hit 70 in Netherstorm, but I guess that’s just because I started going through Outland at 58. It still seems too easy, though. Difficulty plz.

Due to the fact I have work to be doing, I’ve used the parental controls to limit myself to only play from 10pm to midnight every day – enough time for my dailies (exalted with Valiance Expedition, a few more days until I’m exalted with the Kalu’ak… gief epic fishing pole!) and maybe a few quests. Or pop into Wintergrasp, I’ve played that a few times (haven’t tried attacking yet) and it’s manically fun, and great for getting honor points and kills. I’ce done most of the lower dungeons… missed a few out like Drak’Tharon Keep because I can’t get the quests until I get to the end of the chain in Grizzly Hills… no point running it more times than necessary. Then again, I’ll be running them all again in Herioc mode seen enough anyway.

I added an application called Hearthstone on Facebook which tracks my WoW progress… if you want to know what I’m up to in-game, just check my profile page and it’ll say what I’ve been doing. Oh, and I got the Merrymaker title from the Christmas achievements as well… only 6 more world events to go until I get that drake… and you’ll have to wait until the next WoW post to get the 77-79 levelling pics. Sorry.
