You know, it’s really hard to write something when I haven’t been playing WoW. Couldn’t be arsed with dailies today, thought it was time for a break to just chill and watch television for a bit. It’s doubtful that anyone apart from me and Allan really know about this guy (don’t think I’ve really pushed it that hard on anyone), but if you have some spare time you ought to check up on a guy called Charlie Brooker.
Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe is a television show on BBC Four hosted by the man himself, and it’s hilariously funny. I guess it won’t appeal to every person’s sense of humour (seeing as most of it is Charlie hurling abuse at people and things), but the man’s hatred-filled personality just makes it all the more hilarious as he points out how stupid and crap television is nowadays, and we’re all just mindless idiots. And he’s got a point, it is shit, what with every other show being the usual reality bollocks. He also has a column over in The Guardian every week, and two very funny books published (with a third coming in October, can’t wait), so you can catch him on their website.
